<.p>Today we are going to take a look at a very new Microgaming developed online slot title Karate Pig; we played Karat Pig and All Slots Online Casino.

Now before we get into the 100 spins analysis, it must be said that from the very first spin we know this online slot was different. Just how different we did not realise until further in to our test spins.

Karate Pig is a 5 reel themed slot, with a massive 40 pay lines. It follows a Karate Pig theme (oddly enough) and the graphics are pretty cool. Reel symbols include Karate Pig himself, a plate of sushi, a bonsai tree and a Chinese lucky cat. All very well animated with a suitably oriental soundtrack.

We started playing our 100 spins of Karate Pig with 92,355 coins. We played with a coin size of .10 at 5 coins per line across the maximum number of pay lines. This meant a per spin wager of 200 coins.

Karate Pig Wins

Out of 100 spins we had 39 wins, which was less than we expected due to the fact that Karate Pig has 40 win lines. However, the reason for this becomes apparent when you read through the rest of the 100 spin analysis. The biggest win we had was 2,750 coins on a straight reel spin.

Karate Pig Wild Symbols

Karate Pig has the most wild symbols (the Karate Pig log) of any online slot we have ever seen. It is not uncommon to end up with over half the symbols on the reels being wild symbols. At one stage we had 3 entire reels that were all wild symbols! And this is why we did not get as many wins as we expected. A high percentage of wins are triggered with multiple wild symbols, meaning a pay out across multiple pay lines. This leads to bigger wins, so less quantity more quality.

Karate Pig Scatter Symbols

OK things are even stranger when it comes to scatter symbols. There are two types! The first type of scatter symbols is a picture of a pig holding a knife (we don’t know why it is holding a knife though). Three or more of this kind of scatter symbol anywhere on the reels will trigger the side game bonus feature. The second type of scatter symbol is a golden stork, it only appears on the 1st and 5th reels, if you spin one in on each of these reels the free spin feature triggers.

Karate Pig Bonus Features

We didn’t manage to trigger either the side game, or the free spins bonus feature during our 100 spins. We wanted to see them in action so we played on for several hundred more spins, but with no luck. If you enjoy playing online slots with regular bonus feature rounds, then Karate Pig may not be for you.

We ended up with 84,125 coins after 100 spins, which was a net loss of 8,230 coins. But we must point out that during the extra spins we made to try and trigger the bonus feature we had several wins over 5,000 coins. So we think we were a bit unlucky with our 100 spins.
