Top Slots Developer 2013
February 15, 2013
In this short article we take a look at some of the top online slot development companies and make some predictions about how they will perform in 2013, and which will emerge at the top of the heap as the best video slot developer of the year.
Microgaming – Currently the undisputed champion of online slots development. Microgaming has a reputation for releasing great video slots and releasing them regularly. Take a look back across 2012, some of the bets new online slots of the year were developed by Microgaming, Including such slots as The Dark Knight and Immortal Romance, two of the most popular slots of all time.
Net Entertainment – Mega Fortune, the Net Entertainment developed progressive jackpot online slot game is the current world record holder for the largest single progressive win. For this reason, Net Entertainment has a reputation for designing progressive slots that pay out big. We don’t see this changing in 2013, and still tip Net Entertainment to be the top progressive slots developer of the year.
Amaya Gaming Group – Canadian based Amaya came out of nowhere in the second half of 2012. The company went on a mergers and acquisitions rampage, acquiring several key online slot development brands. Amaya has recently signed a deal with DC Entertainment and Warner brothers to produce DC comic theme online slots. We tip Amaya as being one of the top new video slot developers of 2013.
Playtech – Not every slots developer can be tipped to do well in 2013. Playtech is out selection for a slots developer that has had its day. Playtech simply does not seem to release enough new video slots, and certainly none that are as noteworthy as those launched by their competitors. So unless Playtech pulls something special out of its hat during the rest of the year, we can’t see this video slots developer winning any awards in 2013.
Zynga – The Facebook game developer Zynga is about to enter the pay to play online gambling market by opening its own online casino site. We think that Zynga will bring an entirely alternative view to online slots, and if it incorporates its proven social networking technology into video slot games, then we think that Zynga could surprise everyone this year.
So there we have it, our views on who is hot and who is not in the world of online slots development for the rest of 2013.
