Captain Nemo

We have mentioned the new Cryptographic online slot Captain Nemo a couple of times in previous news posts over the last week or so, and we thought it was about time this excellent new video slot game got a news post all of its own, so here it is!

I think most of us over the age of 30 will be familiar with the Jules Verne classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This was and still is one of the definitive works of science fiction, and it is quite hard to believe it was writing almost a century and a half ago! We are entirely sure that Jules Verne would never have guessed that 150 years after first being published, his story would become the theme for a new online slot game! We briefly introduced Captain Nemo in a previous news post, but here is a deeper look at this new Cryptographic slot.

As we might expect, Captain Nemo has a graphical theme based on underwater exploration and deep sea diving. This includes reel symbols such as a diver’s helmet, the Nautilus submarine, a giant squid and Captain Nemo himself.

The wild symbol is portrayed by an image of a sunken ship, and acts just as we have come to expect wild symbols to work, substituting for other reel symbols to build wins.

The scatter symbol, which is the Captain Nemo logo, is the symbol that players will want to see the most of, as spinning in three or more scatter symbols triggers the bonus feature, which is an old fashioned sonar screen, with multiple “blips”, the player can uncover blips to reveal either a multiplier, a bonus cash amount or a jackpot token, and additionally they can uncover a strike symbol, which ends the bonus feature.

Captain Nemo also features a progressive jackpot, although this is a single player progressive, not a networked jackpot so we can’t expect massive million dollar pay outs. Overall Captain Nemo is one of the best new online slots which Cryptographic has released in recent months, and we are sure it will be a hit with video slot fans.
