IGT Profits Up

International Game Technology (IGT) is a Reno-based casino technology developer. IGT is best known for both its real-world slot games, which it retails to casino developers, and for its online gambling software, most notably the high quality video slot games it licenses to online casino operators. IGT has also released some very interesting statistics as well. The company sold over 44,000 physical real-world slot machines this year, at an average value of $14,500 per game. But more interestingly from an online gambling point of view, this year’s revenue from online casino operations came out at $243 million, this is a massive 293% increase on last year’s figures. This indicates the incredibly buoyant situation of the entire online casino market the moment. This situation is only likely to improve, as companies like IGT begin to extract value from their newly received USA online gambling licenses in the coming months.

We also need to consider the major investment International Game Technology made into the top Facebook casino recently, by injecting serious cash in two DoubleDown online casino, the social gambling site with over 1.5 million visitors per day, IGT is positioned itself to branch out into the new world of socially enabled online gambling.
