New Jekyll and Hyde Slot

Microgaming has released something a little different with a new Jekyll and Hyde themed online slot this week. Usually Microgaming tends to launch either themed online slots, of classic slots with a progressive jackpot. So we are a bit surprised by the new video slot, the first to feature a fixed jackpot by Microgaming in quite some time.

Following the story of Jekyll and Hide, a classic interpretation of the struggle between good and evil, we obviously expect some pretty cool animations, especially with Dr. Jekyll turning in to Mr. Hyde, and Microgaming has not disappointed us. Overall, this new slot is as graphically impressive as every other Microgaming launch.

This is a Flash only slot, so it is only available as on instant play enabled online casinos. The fixed jackpot can pay up to 15,000 coins, depending upon the original wager. The game also includes both a scatter symbol and a wild symbol. This is a 5 reel slot, but without the traditional pay lines, instead it offers a fixed number of 1,024 possible ways to win, which is pretty huge!

Overall, we are really quite pleased that Microgaming is veering away from the norm here, and releasing an online slot with a very different feature set to the offerings it has been launching in recent months. OK so there is no progressive jackpot, and there is no side game bonus feature, but we think that this slot is so original that this makes up for the lack of these features. Indeed, if Microgaming had included these features the slot would simply be yet another themed slot launch with the same range of features.
