Virgin Casino, the online gambling giant and part of the whole Virgin empire, has just released three new online slots, the most interesting of these new video slots is Reely Poker, a new slot based on Texas Hold’em style poker. We have taken a brief look at Reely Poker in the past, we thought we would revisit it and flesh out a few details.

Reely Poker is noteworthy for a very special reason; it actually delivers two unique gaming experiences in a single high quality, innovative online slot. Firstly it is a video slot, with all of the gameplay features such as a wild symbol and a bonus feature which we have come to expect. Secondly it is also a very slick poker game, which offers a real challenge for online slots fans.

In the normal mode of play, Reely Poker acts just like any other online slot. The reel symbols are all playing cards, and the joker card is used as the wild symbol. The ace is used as a scatter symbol, and is used to trigger the bonus feature. Nothing really innovative here, just tried and tested video slot gameplay.

In its second mode of play, Reely Poker is transformed in to a pseudo Texas Hold’em poker game. This works by allowing the player to take any percentage of their video slot wins, and use it as a stake in a hand of poker. The player chooses one of three rows of playing cards, and the hand made by that row is then revealed. If the hand which the player chooses beats the other two remaining hands when they are exposed, then the player wins! The total amount of the win will be three times the value of the eager set aside for gambling by the player after a successful reel win. OK so this is not a true poker game, but it is close enough, and it adds something new to the concept of a bonus feature. We will try and bring a full review in the coming weeks.
